Scout Programs for ISKINY

Some ski areas around New York State have special programs for Boy and Girl Scouts. Listed below are the programs that areas offer.

Holiday Valley - Holiday Valley has scouting days in the spring, including ways of earning a merit badge. Check out holidayvalley.com for details.

Thunder Ridge - Thunder Ridge has variety of scouting programs for Girl and Boy Scouts including:

• Girl Scout Badge Workshop Weekend where Junior Girl Scouts can earn the Winter Sports Badge. They have the option of the workshop on Saturday and Sunday of a designated weekend.
• Boy Scouts can earn the Snow Sports Merit Badge on designated weekends as well. We offer them the off-snow portion of the workshop early and late season. The on-snow portion takes place on a designated weekend during the season.
• Scout Week that Scouts and their families can ski/ride at discounted rates. Rentals and lessons are also discounted and we offer safety seminars during this time.
• Older Scout Programs which offer discounted rates (lift, rental and lesson) to Scouts 6th grade and up on several Saturday nights and include pizza and safety seminars as well.
