The 2023 SKI NY – SKIPA EXPO was held on September 25 – 27 at the Lake Placid Conference Center. At the EXPO there were over 350 attendees representing 34 New York Ski Areas, four Pennsylvania ski areas along with seven other ski areas in the Northeast and Canada.

The EXPO featured over 24 sessions of great educational content covering a gamut of topics in Risk Management including fraud detection and more. The Fall Education Seminars sponsored by MountainGuard was featured.  A special thank you to the NSAA crew, Dave Byrd,  Earl Saline, Mike Lane and Kelly Pawlak!  Also covered were hot topics in AI and ChatGPT as well as operations including lift maintenance and snowmaking operations. The EXPO was kicked off by Kelly Pawlak of NSAA.

The backbone of the show is the SKI NY Associate Members in which 78 companies attended representing products and services for the ski industry. The trade show featured snowmaking, ticketing, software and solutions and other services for ski areas. Many old friends visited and new friends were made.
