Bristol Mountain Freestyle Aerial Training Center Jump Site at HighPoint Terrain Park on Challenger Trail
Canandaigua, NY (March 5, 2019) It has been an exciting season at Bristol Mountain. The US Elite Aerial Development Team has been training at Bristol Mountain this week in preparation for the Jr. World Ski Championships in Valmalenco, Italy, the end of March. On Thursday, March 7th from 10am-12pm, spectators and media representatives are invited to watch these athletes train at the Bristol Mountain Freestyle Aerial Training Center located at HighPoint Terrain Park on Challenger Trail. US Ski & Snowboard Team Freestyle Aerial Athletes Chris Lillis and Patrick O'Flynn will be at Bristol Mountain for this event. Lillis will be providing commentary and O'Flynn will participate in this training session. "It is thrilling to have members of the US Elite Aerial Development Program training at Bristol Mountain this week. These athletes ski over 40mph on the approach to the jump and reach heights upwards of 50 feet on takeoff before executing a series of flips, twists, turns before landing and skiing away", exclaims, Marketing Director, Drew Broderick.
US Ski & Snowboard Team Technical Advisor, Chris "Seedog" Seemann, remarked, "This is an amazing training site. We are so excited to be training at Bristol Mountain this week. It's been a great experience for our athletes and coaches."
Earlier this season Team China's Freestyle Aerial Team spent seven weeks in December and January training at in preparation for the World Cup event in Lake Placid and World Championships in Deer Valley, where they picked up medals at both.

Time: 10am – 12pm Freestyle Aerials is a precision sport. Start and end times for this event may vary to ensure proper course conditions and highly weather dependent.
Location: Lower Challenger at the High Point Freestyle Aerial Training Center – spectator area.
Ticketed Event: No. This is a free event. Spectators are welcome walk over to the base of the training site during this time. Lift ticket is required for any guest wishing to ski at Bristol Mountain.
What to Expect: We are pleased to announce that US SKI & Snowboard Team Freestyle Aerial athletes Chris Lillis and Patrick O'Flynn from Bristol Mountain will also be here on Thursday. Chris Lillis will offer commentary on the jumps and Patrick O'Flynn will be jumping with these Elite Aerial Development Program athletes. Both Lillis and O'Flynn were members in this program before qualifying for the US Ski & Snowboard Freestyle Team.

This season Bristol Mountain opened its new Freestyle Aerial Training Center. The other training sites of this kind are located at Olympic training centers in Lake Placid and Park City. Of the three, Bristol Mountain, is the only site where guests can ski right up to the training site and watch world class athletes train when sessions are in progress.
