Canandaigua, NY (February 1, 2018) "Every coach at the developmental level dreams someday that their athletes is going to reach the pinnacle of their sport", Bristol Mountain Freestyle Team Coach, John Kroetz. For Coach Kroetz, this dream came true this season. Two of his Bristol Mountain Freestyle Team athletes will be competing for Olympic Gold! Prior to being known as Olympians, Morgan Schild and Jonathon Lillis were known as two of the Bristol Mountain Super Six. This group of six athletes are currently members of the US Ski & Snowboard Freestyle Team. All started out in the Bristol Mountain Freestyle program under the direction of Coach Kroetz. Some were as young as 8 years old when they joined the team. Morgan Schild (moguls), Jon Lillis (aerials), Chris Lillis (aerials), Dylan Walczyk (moguls), Harrison Smith (aerials) and Patrick O'Flynn (aerials) are the Bristol Mountain Super Six. "Coach John Kroetz, was the first person to see the spark in their eyes when these amazing athletes started to envision their Olympic aspirations. Bristol Mountain is the only mountain in the United States that has six athletes on the US Ski & Snowboard Team all from the same discipline (Freestyle). Coach Kroetz is the secret ingredient. His coaching success centers around making sure his athletes have fun and he treats all of his athletes with the same respect whether they are an 8 year old starting out in the program or Olympic athlete Morgan Schild when she is training with these kids", explains, Sales & Marketing Director, Drew Broderick.
