Buffalo Ski Center’s New “Magic Carpet” is Ready for Winter Fun
State-of-the-Art Lift Makes It Easy for New Skiers to Hit the Slopes
COLDEN, NY: Improvements continue at family-oriented Buffalo Ski Center (formerly known as Buffalo Ski Club), and the latest is the addition of a just-completed Magic Carpet conveyor lift that makes it
easier than ever for even the youngest and newest skiers to take full advantage of BSC’s outstanding ski training center.

“For decades, rope-tows were the standard lift used to move new skiers, but they were always the hardest to get used to,” explains Mark Page, General Manager of Buffalo Ski Center. “Our new Magic
Carpet will make it so easy for kids and other new skiers. If you can stand up, you can use it.” Like a long, smooth conveyor belt that skiers and snowboarders simply stand on, this lift is an easier and safer way
to access the Bunny Hill and Learning Center areas, which are specially designated for new skiers.  “We’re always looking for ways to improve our services,” Mark continues, “especially for families with
young children, as they’re the core of our skiers and snowboarders.”  The Magic Carpet is among many improvements that Buffalo Ski Center has made over the last several
years. Others include significant expansion of snowmaking equipment to cover nearly 80% of the trails, as well as guest amenities that include café service in the main lodge and a child-care center for young
visitors who need a break from the slopes while the rest of the family skis.

Longtime member Charlie says, “BSC’s great because they teach skills that make winter sports fun and safe for everyone. Our kids learned to ski here and now, with the Magic Carpet, we’ll bring our grandkids
here, too. BSC’s less than 30 minutes from Buffalo, too, and practically around the corner for people in the Southtowns, so it’s perfect if you want to ski for a full day or just a few hours after work or school.”
“And everyone can enjoy it here, too, because we offer day passes for the public, as well as memberships,” adds Mark. “A great way to get to know us is through our one-year trial membership,
too, which gives families unlimited skiing and snowboarding all season, for just $500.”
