Events coming up this Week!

Ski areas in New York State made a ton of snow with the cold temperatures this past weekend and they are looking great as we head towards next weekend and well beyond even into April. Also they have lots of good stuff going coming up too. There's plenty of snow at your favorite ski area! Remember our Ski & Ride Passport Program is still available and we have other great deals too on tickets, hats, posters, shirts and more!

Here's a round up of events coming up:

Belleayre Mountain:
March 11th: Ski Patrol BBQ - If you've ever needed a ski patroller, you know how tirelessly they work to provide necessary support to ensure the safe operation of Belleayre. Come out to support the Belleayre Ski Patrol at this classic annual family fundraiser BBQ at 6:30pm Saturday, March 11 in Overlook Lodge. Food will be provided as usual by local favorite Brooks Chicken BBQ and there will be live music. There will be a raffle with tons of prizes to raise money to help fund this essential department of mountain heroes. It doesn't get any better and it's for a great cause.

March 18th: Tailgate Party - Bring your "A" game at the Tailgate Party on March 18th. Do you have the coolest tailgating rig around? Do you have the worst tailgating rig around? Here is your chance to show your set-up just because you are a true TAILGATE fan. Come and show your pride, bring your games, tents, trucks, coolers, cookers or anything you want in this bragging rights party!

Bristol Mountain:
March 18th-19th- Spring Carnival – We welcome spring with lots of fun events including the Slush Cup, Shamrock Scavenger Hunt, live music and the largest on snow Easter Egg Hunt in the Finger Lakes and more. For details call 585-374-6000.

6th Annual Tour de Bristol Race to the Summit – Nordic skiers and snow shoe athletes start at the base and climb to an elevation of 2,200 feet to reach the summit in this timed race. Medal are awarded. Not for the faint of heart. For information call 585-374-6000.

Holiday Valley Resort:
March 11-12: Winter Carnival: Events for the whole family, all ages and interests with contests, games, outdoor cookouts, parades and music plus the parade in the Village of Ellicottville.
March 18: Pond Skimming: Skiers and snowboarders attempt to ski down the slope and across an ice water filled pond. Prizes for best skimming, best splash, best costume and best child.
March 19: Northwind Super G: A super G race for the rest of us, down the green circle/blue square Northwind. Helmets required, speed suits optional.

March 18 - 19: Maplefest
Just in time for sugaring season, Maplefest highlights our plentiful local Adirondack maple products, so bring your sweet tooth! Live music by Annie in the Water on Saturday, March 18.

March 25 - 26: Applefest
Did you know New York grows more apple varieties than any other state? Join us for Applefest and get your fill of apple butter, pie, jam, cider, and more great local apple products. Live music from DJ Construct, DJ Tone A, Paulo Cardoso, and Evan Krisciunas on Saturday, March 25.

April 8: Annual Pond Skimming Contest
Don your best costume, choose your skis or board wisely and see just how far across the pond you can glide in our Annual Pond Skimming Contest! Soak up the sun on the Cloudspin Deck with live music from Lucid.

March Springfest – every weekend featuring different themes, live music, food and drink specials, plus get your season pass for next year and ski all of March for FREE this year!

Woods Valley:
Made snow last week and are looking forward to skiing right into April this year.

March 8th - 12: Live music all weekend, starting Wednesday night with SAMY Hall of Fame recipient Paul Case – 7 to 10pm. The lineup for the weekend is at their facebook page linked here; https://www.facebook.com/events/1267181126700913/

They will feature 3 parks open. Snow Tubing reopens Friday at 6pm and all tickets are $12.
