Plattekill Mountain to Feature Activity-Filled Holiday Weekend

Roxbury, NY:
The Labor Day Holiday Weekend is upon us, and although it may be the "unofficial" last weekend of summer, it by no means signifies the winding down of activity at Plattekill Mountain in Roxbury, NY. On the contrary, for the holiday weekend the mountain will be gearing up, featuring mountain biking, hiking, scenic chairlift rides and will host their 3rd free summer music concert in their series "Music on the Mountain" Saturday Sept 2nd from 3-6pm.

The mountain's music series, three-years running, features a different genre of music each concert. For September 2nd the popular "Wyld Blu Band" will be on tap performing smoky Texas-style blues, funky R&B, Classic Rock and originals. "Wyld Blu" is known for soulful vocals, strong harmonies and offers a driving high-energy performance that "takes traditional blues, boogie & rock in a new direction".

In addition, Plattekill will feature a Country BBQ, Bar Services and Scenic Chairlift rides open for extended hours during concert hours.

The fun continues Columbus weekend (Saturday) October 7 when the mountain will feature their largest event of the season, their 8th Annual Family Fall Festival, "Plattepalooza". The festival will feature live music, fall fare, in season craft brews, local vendors, a host of kids activities (magic show at 1pm, balloon artist, face painting, pumpkin painting, bounce house) plus homemade apple cider press, s'mores roasting, scenic fall foliage chairlift rides, mountain biking and more, in the true spirit of the season.
