Greetings from Plattekill Mountain!
It's been a great week for SNOWMAKING and we've been pounding out the piles. The COLD TEMPS will make for some REAL SWEET crisp, mid-winter grippy carvable snow surfaces the next few days, groomed to perfection...
You just have to plan for extra layers to bundle up!
SATURDAY... The word for the day is BRRR. Yes, it's going to be very cold, which means you need to prepare more to hit the slopes. Layers, layers & MORE LAYERS, frequent breaks, face masks and hand/feet warmers are all great things to consider, and is available in our store. It's important to dress appropriately to enjoy the day - check out the
TIPS BELOW on how to help prepare!
SUNDAY... Looks like a beautiful day, with temps back into the 30s!
Don't miss the AWESOME MID-WINTER CONDITIONS!
Base layers: top and bottom. Performance base layers will wick moisture away from your body to keep you dry. Insulating layers. Wool turtle necks, fleeces or pullovers will add that extra layer of insulation...
A vest, ski pants, ski jacket, helmet, headband and goggles bring extra coverage.
Need neck gators? hand/toe wamers?
You'll find it all fully-stocked in our SKI SHOP (2nd floor, base lodge)
