Canandaigua, NY (December 31, 2016) A huge crowd was on hand at Bristol Mountain Tonight to ring in the new year. The evening included kid's activities in the Rocket Lodge with face painting being the highlight. Karaoke was a hit with the older kids and adults. At 10pm the guests streamed out to the base area to watch Bristol Mountain employees and Ski Patrol present the annual Torchlight Parade which was followed by an incredible fireworks display put on by Young Explosives. "This is my 8th New Year's Eve at Bristol Mountain and each year it gets better and better. The Torchlight Parade is a long standing tradition here at Bristol Mountain. The staff at Young Explosives put on such a great show each year", exclaims, Marketing Director, Drew Broderick.
The slopes at Bristol Mountain will be open on New Year's Day from 8:30am-9pm. The Family Fun Night Special will be available from 4pm-9pm on New Year's Day. Three can ski for $75 from 4pm-9pm plus discounted rentals and a 5pm beginner class lesson. To qualify for the special guests need to bring a bottle cap from a bottle of Intense Milk.
The next exciting event at Bristol Mountain is this Friday, January 6th. Bristol Mountain is one of many US and Canadian ski areas participating in the World's Largest Ski Lesson. This is a first come, first serve event with limited availability. Guests must check in no later than noon with the lesson starting on snow at 1pm sharp. The lesson package cost for the 1pm lesson for this event is only $10 and includes a beginner lift ticket, beginner lesson and rentals.
