West Mountain Ski Area February Break

January 31, 2019

QUEENSBURY, N.Y. – West Mountain Ski Area will be kicking off February Break with its annual Fire on
the Mountain event! Fire on the Mountain will be held from 7pm-12am on February 15th. There will be
live music performed by the Audio Stars in the main lodge, as well as a fireworks display, torchlight
parade, face painting, and more! The Hometown Hero rail jam will take place from 7pm-8pm, with
prizes given out to the winners.

During February break, West Mountain will offer 2 and 3-day Holiday Stay & Play Camps, as well as a 4-
day Intro to Race Camp. Kids can learn to ski or snowboard at West Mountain's Stay & Play Camps,
staying active while on school break. The fully supervised four day, non-competitive alpine Intro to Race
camp is designed to teach fundamental racing techniques through drills, all mountain free skiing and
gate training. The camp is a great way to try out racing without having to make a full time commitment.
It's also a fun way to keep racers active over the holiday break.
Monday Night Racing, sponsored by Harpoon, will take place on February 18th. The full Monday Night
Racing schedule can be found on westmtn.net. Registration begins at 5pm and ends at 6:45pm at the
Front Desk, $10 per person plus a valid lift ticket. Race starts on the Face at 7 pm. Awards follow in the
West Mountain Bar & Eatery immediately after the race.
