March may be the best month of them all to ski and ride. The days are longer, the sun is brighter and traditionally March offers up more snowfall than any other month. Over the past 24 hours, more than 18-inches of new snowfall has blanketed Whiteface Mountain, bringing this week's snow total to 26-plus inches.
So there's no better time than now to ski and ride the Olympic mountain. While you're there, put just 25-percent down on the purchase of your 2018-'19 season pass and enjoy unlimited skiing and riding for the rest of this season. This new payment plan has no additional fees and just three easy payments.
This Saturday, Doug's Brother performs live in the Cloudspin Bar & Grill and next Saturday join in on the St. Patrick's Day fun with more live music from Ausable Branch. Next Sunday, March 18, it's the final Give Back Sunday on the season. Bring a grocery bag of canned pet food, a 10-pound or larger bag of dry pet food and/or pet toys to the resort's ticket window and save on the purchase of your lift ticket. All donations will go to area shelters.
Don't forget that Whiteface's First tracks program is a great way to get on the mountain and the new snow before everyone else. Skiers and riders can take an early morning guided run Saturdays and Sundays before the lifts and trails open. First Tracks is limited to 14 intermediate and above level skiers and riders. For more details, or to register, email the mountain's guest services desk, firstname.lastname@example.org.
