Whiteface Mountain: Skyward is Open
…and MORE snow is on the way! We have been busy churning out the powder and dropping lines. Upper and Lower Skyward are open for the season, and snowmaking has been all-out on the Wilmington trail to get Lookout Mountain open. We have over 70 trails open for you to explore, with diverse terrain for every ability. Now is the time to tune your boards, pack your bags, and come immerse yourself in the Olympic experience at Whiteface.
Lake Placid has had the privilege of hosting two Olympic Winter Games, first in 1932 and again in 1980. The venues used for the Games are collectively known as the Lake Placid Legacy Sites. They include Olympic Center, Olympic Jumping Complex, Mt. Van Hoevenberg, and Whiteface Mountain.
Today, our venues have undergone the most significant renovation projects to date, and continue to host visitors, events, and serve as a unique training ground for many sports. Home to many past and present Olympians, Whiteface Lake Placid, is the perfect place to experience all the Olympic feels right in your backyard. GO TEAM USA!
