HoliMont Builds Toward Winter with Snowmaking Upgrades and Expanded Member and Guest Amenities
Year-round investments also bring new mountain bike trails, adaptive equipment and hilltop wedding venue improvements
ELLICOTTVILLE, N.Y. — October 20, 2026 — HoliMont is preparing for the upcoming winter with improvements across its snowmaking infrastructure, facilities, equipment services and ticketing systems. Alongside new summer trails and expanded adaptive recreation opportunities, these investments support the club’s purpose of providing generations of outdoor family fun.
Strengthening the Snowmaking System
HoliMont’s snowmaking department has installed more than 3,200 feet of new and upgraded snowmaking pipe, including a new 12-inch main line from the pumphouse to Meadow Trail and a new 8-inch trunk line extending all the way up Greer Slope.
Upgraded electrical transformers and panels also lay the groundwork for upcoming pump improvements. Together, these projects strengthen the infrastructure behind the great snow and no lift lines that define the HoliMont experience.
Improving Facilities and Equipment Services
Inside the Race Center, new carpeting refreshes a gathering place for athletes, coaches and families. An upgraded Wintersteiger stone and belt base conditioning machine supports high-quality ski and snowboard tuning and equipment repairs throughout the season.
A new shipment of heated lockers is expected this week for the member locker room. Once installed, the addition will increase HoliMont’s heated locker offering by nearly 50%, giving more member families a convenient place to store and dry their equipment.
HoliMont has also launched new customer service and ticketing software to improve communication, streamline transactions and create a smoother experience for members and guests.
Building More Summer Riding Opportunities
This summer, HoliMont expanded its Bike Park with two jump trail options. “Paper Route,” a new green jump trail, gives riders a welcoming place to build skills and confidence. A revived section of existing trail became “Skyfall,” a black jump line offering a new challenge for more advanced riders.
To broaden access to mountain biking, HoliMont added three adaptive mountain bikes from Bowhead Design. Working with its Phoenix Adaptive Program, HoliMont plans to introduce summer adaptive lessons and programming in 2027, helping more riders experience the mountain.
Enhancing Hilltop Celebrations
Summer improvements also included new landscaping and upgraded chairs at HoliMont’s hilltop wedding venue, enhancing the setting for couples celebrating with family and friends.
Across every season, HoliMont continues to invest in experiences that bring families together, from dependable snow and quality equipment services to new ways to ride, explore and celebrate.
