Spring Has Sprung But We Are Not Done
Easter, Slush Cup, And Passes Oh My
It is not over yet and there is plenty of skiing and riding to be had before we call it a wrap on the season. With a ton of snow out on the mountain, we are set to carry on into April. Currently, we're taking full advantage of the fantastic spring skiing conditions, with 89% of our terrain still open. You can enjoy all this spring skiing for free when you pick up a 2024-25 season pass! If you already purchased a lift ticket for an upcoming trip to the mountain, while you’re here in person, ask us how to upgrade your day ticket towards a Season Pass.
But that is not all - There are several family fun events yet still to come. Join us this weekend for Easter festivities. Sunday will start the day with a Sunrise Service and later on in the day we will be hunting down 3,000 eggs at the Easter Egg Hunt. The following weekend, get ready for the much anticipated Slush Cup, Costume Day and Spring Fling Party, which are tentatively scheduled for April 6th. And let's not forget about the Partial Solar Eclipse that will be taking place on April 8th!
The question that everyone is asking, when is closing day? While there is still a lot of "What Ifs" right now, operations can change at any time. Right now, we are planning on daily operations through April 8th. We will be taking a little break from Tuesday, April 9th through Thursday, April 11th. Reopen again on Friday, April 12th for one last weekend with the last day slated for Sunday, April 14th. We are celebrating Easter on the mountain with an eggnormous egg hunt with 3,000 eggs. Treat & prized filled eggs will be sprinkled around the Discovery Lodge area. The eggstravaganza is free for kids ages 12 and under. Find the golden egg for an extra special prize.
Easter Sunrise Service
March 31st
Belleayre's Easter Sunrise Service is set to begin at 6:30am at the Overlook Lodge on March 31st. This annual tradition is a non-denomination service that is free and open to everyone.
Slush Cup & Costume Day
April 6
Sink or swim at the annual pond skim!
Get ready to test your skills at Belleayre’s Annual Slush Cup – the ultimate pond-skimming challenge! Dive into the excitement as skiers & riders attempt to glide across our 100 ft pond in style. The event kicks off at 11am and is free to participate, but make sure you have a valid ticket for the day. Costumes are a must to skim, and spots are limited to the first 75 registrants.
Not up for the pond-skimming challenge? No problem! It’s also our annual Costume Day, so come dressed as your favorite superhero, food, or adorable animal. There’s something for everyone to enjoy at this exciting event. Happy Skimming!
Spring Fling Party
April 6
April is arriving and will be bringing the biggest party of the year at Belleayre’s Discovery Lodge – from music and games to the annual pond skimming contest. Best of all it is ALL FREE! We hope to see you in your favorite costume!

Partial Solar Eclipse
April 8
The solar eclipse is making it’s way through the United States on April 8, 2024. While Belleayre may not be in the path of totality, we will be experiencing an afternoon partial solar eclipse.
While this cosmic event unfolds, our lifts will be operating as normal from 9 am to 4 pm. Take advantage of a $40 lift ticket special for the day. For those not hitting the slopes, fear not – we will be offering $20 gondola ride (please note that gondola foot passengers will not be allowed to disembark the cabin at the summit). Alternatively, guests can also watch this astronomical event on the Discovery Lodge Deck for free.
Solar Eclipse Eye Safety
PARTIAL ECLIPSE TIMING:
Partial Eclipse Begins at 2:10 pm
Maximum Partial Eclipse at 3:25 pm
Partial Eclipse Ends at 4:36 pm
Complimentary eclipse glasses will be provided as supplies last.
Remember: Looking directly at the eclipse without proper eye protection is never safe. Sunglasses are NOT SAFE for viewing. Viewing any part of the bright sun through a camera lens, binoculars, or a telescope without a special-purpose solar filter secured over the front of the optics will instantly cause severe eye injury.
