Bristol Mountain to Host US Selections Freestyle Aerials Contest

Bristol Mountain is thrilled to announce it will be hosting the prestigious US Selections Freestyle Aerials contest on Monday, December 22, with events kicking off at 5 PM. This critical competition will determine the athletes who will proudly represent Team USA at the upcoming domestic World Cup events in Lake Placid and Deer Valley, Utah, scheduled for January. These World Cup events serve as qualifying rounds for the Winter Olympics, set to take place in Cortina, Italy in February.

Originally slated for Park City, Utah, the contest was relocated to Bristol Mountain due to unseasonably warm weather preventing venue preparation. Thanks to Bristol Mountain's exceptional snowmaking and grooming capabilities, the venue was meticulously constructed over just three days, ensuring optimal conditions for the athletes.

Training sessions will be held on Sunday from 5-7 PM, with the contest day featuring additional training at 5 PM followed by the competition start at 6 PM. Spectators are warmly invited to attend both training and competition sessions free of charge, located near the Challenger Terrain Park.

"We are honored to step in as hosts for this pivotal event," said Bristol Mountain's President, Dan Fuller. "Our team has worked tirelessly to create a world-class venue, and we are excited to welcome athletes and fans to experience the thrill of freestyle aerials at Bristol. We look forward to cheering on our local athletes who have a chance of securing World Cup opportunities as well"
