Hello Skiers and Riders here's the New York ski report podcast for Friday December 6th.
We're heading into the weekend strong with over 20 ski areas open around the State. With some fresh snow this week it's going to be a great weekend on the slopes.
Here's the ski report for today.
Starting in the Adirondacks and North Country...
Dry Hill received 2 inches of new snow and has 1 trail and a lift from 5 to 10pm Friday.
Gore Mountain will have 13 trails and 3 lifts from 8:30 to 4. Also 3K of cross country is open from noon to 6pm at their Nordic Center.
Mount Van Hoevenberg received 2 inches of new snow and has 40k of trail open from 9am to 4:30pm
Oak Mountain will start their season December 7th.
Royal Mountain will be Re-open Saturday
At Titus Mountain they are re-opening Satruday
West Mountain plans to start their season on December 7th
Whiteface Mountain received 3 inches of new snow and has 17 trails with 4 lifts open on a 9 to 18 inch base from 8:30 to 4. Terrain Park is open. Saturday they will have live music.
Willard Mountain plans to open December 7th and they are making snow.
In the Catskills region
Belleayre Mountain will have 15 trails and 3 lifts from 9am to 4pm.
Catamount re-opens with 15 trails and 2 lifts from 9am to 4pm
Hunter Mountain will have 40 trails and 5 lifts on a 12 to 36 inch base from 9am to 4pm along with their terrain park too.
Mount Peter plans to open December 7th
Plattekill Mountain will open Saturday with 6 trails and 20 inches of fresh snow this week
Thunder Ridge plans to open December 13th tentatively
Windham Mountain will have 34 trails with 3 lifts from 9am to 4pm. There's still powder on the hill in spots too.
In Central New York ...
Four Seasons got a fresh inch of snow and they open Saturday with a trail and a lift with tubing too.
Greek Peak Mountain Resort received 5 inches of new snow and will have 16 trails and 3 lifts from 9:30am to 4pm on a 12 to 24 inch base. 3k of Nordic Trails are open too. They will have night skiing Saturday and Sunday.
Toggenburg received received 4 inches of fresh snow and will have a trail and a lift from 10am to 4:30pm. The Foggy Goggle opens today!
Woods Valley received 18 inches of snow this week with 11 trails and 3 lifts on an 18 to 36 inch base from 10am to 4pm.
In Western New York and the Fingerlakes
Bristol Mountain will re-open Saturday December 7th
Holiday Valley Resort received a fresh 6 inches of new snow and has 8 trails 4 lifts open from 9am to 10pm on a 8 to 24 inch base.
Holimont plans to open December 13th and Peek 'n Peak plans to open December 13th too.
Swain Resort plans to re-open Saturday
Kissing Bridge, Cockaigne plan to start their seasons soon.
