A group of excited skiers and snowboarders who are awaiting a lift opening for Opening Day.

The day we have all been waiting for is almost here. Tomorrow, Friday, December 5 is the start of the 2025-26 ski and snowboard season at Holiday Valley. 

 

Here's what you can expect for tomorrow:

  • Lifts:
    • Mardi Gras, Yodeler, Creekside, Tannenbaum, Boardwalk
  • Slopes that are planned to be open:
    • Tannenbaum, Upper and Lower Crystal, Candy Cane, Laurel, Punch Bowl, Champagne, Yodeler, Mardi Gras, School Haus West, Boardwalk
  • Terrain Park:
    • 4 features on the Mardi Gras Fun Park
  • Base Depth between 8" - 28"

To quote our Mountain Safety Manager, Ben Graham..."It's going to be good skiing tomorrow!"

 

This morning was a one snowy in Ellicottville and the Mountain Crew has been hard at work making snow and pushing it out in preparation of tomorrow.

 

It's going to be a strong start to the season so have a blast out there and get your skiing/riding legs ready for a fun-filled winter!
