Winter Returns to the Catskills: Hunter Mountain Opens for Winter on November 22
Epic Passes on Sale Through December 4 – Lock in the Best Value in Skiing and Riding
Hunter, NY (Thursday, Nov. 20) - Hunter Mountain opens Saturday, November 22 at 9:00 a.m., for the 2025/26 winter season! We are excited to welcome skiers and riders back to the Catskills with top-to-bottom skiing and riding from the summit. The day kicks off with breakfast taquitos, a live DJ on Danny’s Way, giveaways, and a banner break at 9:00 a.m. on the Kaatskill Flyer.
Thanks to cold temps and Hunter’s dedicated snowmaking team, Opening Day will consist of a solid terrain package serviced by Broadway Express, Kaatskill Flyer, and Hunter East Carpet. Planned trails include Hellgate, 7th Ave, Kennedy Drive, Fifth Avenue, and Gramercy Park.
“We’re thrilled to kick off another amazing winter season on Saturday, Nov. 22, at Hunter Mountain. Our team has been hard at work this off-season wrapping up projects around the resort,” said Trent Poole, Vice President and General Manager of Hunter Mountain. “ Guests coming to enjoy winter in the Catskills will see a fresh new look in our Main Lodge, as well as new food & beverage offerings. I’m especially excited about our new events, like Salute to Service Weekend, which invites military service members to connect on the slopes, and Expedition Hunter, a fun and thrilling competition exploring Hunter Mountain’s legendary terrain. Whether you’re here for the new events, skiing and riding, or just relaxing in our lodge, it’s going to be a season to remember. I can’t wait to see everyone out there!”
