Can you believe the end of the season is already here? After a winter filled with incredible Adirondack snow and memories on the slopes, we’re gearing up for our final weekend of the 2025/2026 season.
First and foremost, Thank you! Whether you’re a lifelong local or a weekend visitor, thank you for choosing to carve it up with us this year. We love being your home mountain and the place to spend your winter fun.
Before we store our skis, we’re going out with a splash! The Legendary Pond Skimming is this Saturday, March 21st. The costumes are ready, the water is cold, and the vibes are unmatched. Join us for our annual Pond Skimming event! Even if you aren't brave enough to take the plunge, come for the show. We’ll have:

It’s last call at The Acorn, Chef Justin and the crew are ready to fuel your final runs of the year. Stop in this weekend to grab a cold one and enjoy the best views in Speculator.

Well-Deserved Rest: After Saturday, the Acorn staff will be taking a break to recharge for our summer season. Come say goodbye and enjoy one last meal before they head out!
Looking ahead, it’s never too early to start dreaming of next winter. Season Passes for the 2026/2027 season go on sale April 15th! Mark your calendars to snag the best rates of the year.

Pond Skimming!
This great event could be the best event of the year. Dress in your pond clothes (costumes encouraged) and try your luck in Matt O'Brien's version of a swimming pool on your skis or snowboard! Ages 12 & Older. NO Entry fee and only 50 entries allowed for this one.
Registration will begin at 8:30am. At time of registration, we will ask for your song choice... DJ2T will be here playing during the event!
The Pondskimming is located right in the base area, spectators be sure to bring your cameras! Try a sampling of Zero Gravity at the Acorn!

Don't Let The Season Slip Away!
It’s hard to believe, but it’s our final weekend. The coverage is still great and perfect for those final family runs. Grab your favorite ski buddies and come help us send off the season with a bang. We might even see a little more snow. We'll see you on the mountain!
The Acorn!
Join us for some delicious food in a casual atmosphere. Our food is inspired by life here in the Adirondacks. The carefully designed menus by Chef Justin Paterson, have a wide variety of options that cater to the hungry skier, rider, your special event guests and even the little ones too. Thirsty? Enjoy 6 craft beers on tap, signature cocktails and Shirley Temples, all with the mountain views.
Hours for our final weekend this season:
- Thursday: 4:00pm - 8:00pm
- Friday: 11:00am - 8:00pm
- Saturday: 11:00am - 4:30pm
**Saturday we will be serving light snacks at the bar after 4:30pm.

Mountain Etiquette
Yielding to Others:
The skier downhill of you has the right of way. Always look uphill before starting, turning, or stopping.
Signs and Boundaries:
Respect all posted signs and warnings, such as closed trails, avalanche zones, or terrain features.
Maintain Control:
Always ski or snowboard in control and at a speed that allows you to stop or avoid hazards.

There are a few dates left for 2026 but we are now booking for 2027! Oak Mountain's setting is remarkable; with a combination of the Adirondack Mountains, gorgeous views and amazing lakes.
