We’ve Got Plenty of Snow!
Hey Oak Mountain Family!
The snow just keeps piling up this year and we're stoked! The weekend is looking absolutely delightful with a mix of sun and clouds, so don't forget to pack your sunscreen for those bluebird days on the slopes.
Mark Your Calendars! We have a busy March ahead. But first, this Sunday, we are excited to host the ADK Council for the Alpine Ski Team Parallel Races beginning at 9:30 AM.
The Cardboard Races are on for Saturday, March 7th. Build a racer out of cardboard (no metal on the bottom!) and send it down the mountain. We’ll have trophies for the Fastest Sled in several age groups (7 & under, 8-14, and 15+) plus a prize for Most Creative!
Then on Saturday, March 14th, it’s time for the OMR Slalom Fun Race. Whether you’re a seasoned regular or a young ripper, we want to see you at the starting line! Registration runs from 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM and the race kicks off at 9:30 AM. It’s open to intermediate skiers ages 5 and up, and best of all, it’s free! Space is limited to the first 50 sign-ups, so be sure to get here early to secure your spot. If you have questions, give us a shout at 518-548-3606 or drop us a line at info@oakmountainski.com.
Finally, the date for our legendary Pond Skimming Day is set for Saturday, March 21st at 1:00 PM! We’ll keep the party going with live music from The Altered Tones (2:00 PM – 5:00 PM) followed by Karaoke with DJ2T starting at 5:30 PM. It might seem like a way off, but you need time to plan your costume! Not to worry, there is plenty of fun to be had between now and then. *Please see below for a complete list of live music for February/ March.
Après & Adirondack Eats Whether you’re here for the epic skiing or just the vibes, plan to join us for Après any day. There’s no better way to refuel than stopping by the Acorn Pub & Eatery for a local craft beer and delicious eats! Chef Justin Paterson is always whipping up something new and tasty in his kitchen, come see what the latest Adirondack inspired special is!

Spring is the perfect time to take a lesson! With slightly warmer temperatures and softer snow, it’s one of the most comfortable and confidence-building times to learn. We’re expecting busy weekends, so be sure to sign up for your lessons early and secure your spot.
Whether you’re brand new to skiing or snowboarding or just looking for a refresher, Oak Mountain Ski & Snowboard School will show you why our instructors are so passionate about this sport. Our team is here to help you build skills, boost your confidence, and make the most of your day on the snow.
From our beginner hill and terrain park to blue cruisers, black diamonds, and glade trails, there’s something for everyone to explore. Come see it all this spring!
Snowtubing
Check out this family-fun-loving, snowtubing adventure that's close to home. It's fun, it's easy, and better than sledding any day! No experience or special equipment is needed. Just hop in the tube and enjoy the ride. Tubing tickets include the tube, the handle tow lift to pull you up and the 90 minutes of tubing. (Weight: up to 275lbs)
Open Saturday and Sundays 9:15am-4pm.
**To tube, a child MUST BE 36" tall and must RIDE the tube ALONE.**

Snow Safety on the Mountain
Closed Areas
Ski Patrols use a variety of techniques and equipment to close trails and glades. For your safety, never enter a closed area.
Changing Snow Conditions & Weather Awareness
Both natural and man-made. Resorts may use poles, flags, discs, ropes, fencing, signs, and other devices to provide visual warnings. No resort can mark all hazards and obstacles. Be aware of changing conditions.
Out of Bounds
Never leave the ski area boundary, you do so at your own risk. Ski patrol services are only available inside the ski area boundaries.

It is as much fun for spectators as it is for racers. Maybe More!! For the best results do not put a square edge on the front of your racer!!! DJ2T will be here playing during the event.
