2026 is Your Year!
How about a new hobby this year? Make this year your year to learn to ski or snowboard or improve your skills. Take a lesson or two with us. The slopes are a bit quieter now that the holiday rush has passed, so it's a great time to learn. Sign up for a private lesson or get a group of friends together and make it a semi-private lesson. At Oak Mountain, we want your learning experience to be extra special - that’s why we offer Private Lessons designed just for you. Order your ticket and sign up online.

Night skiing begins Thursday, January 8 at 4pm. We hope to see you there. There is nothing more fun than skiing or boarding under the lights! Night skiing happens every Thursday 4pm - 7pm this season. Come join in the fun! Maybe make it a family night and stay for dinner at The Acorn.

We’re excited to welcome Olympian Doug Lewis to Oak Mountain this weekend for the ADK Council Doug Lewis Race Camp on Saturday! This special camp is a fantastic opportunity for young racers to learn from an Olympic athlete and gain valuable insight both on and off the hill. We can’t wait to host Doug and all the participants for an inspiring day on the slopes.

We’re also excited to host the first Section II High School Alpine Race of the year right here at Oak Mountain! Join us for an exciting Night Slalom on Oak Mountain Run on Monday, January 12th at 4:00 PM. We’re proud to welcome student-athletes, coaches, and spectators for an evening of fast turns, school spirit, and great racing under the lights.

MLK weekend is right around the corner so start panning now! We are expecting a busy weekend filled with snow and smiles. Get your tickets now! Please note that tickets must be purchased online in advance.  Get ready to lock in your winter holiday fun at Oak Mountain!

Lift Safety Tips

  • Be familiar with the type of lift you are riding, and ask for help if you need it.
  • Before loading, remove backpacks and secure loose items. Remove pole straps from wrists.
  • Look over your shoulder to watch the chair approach.
  • Sit all the way in the chair, with your back to the seat rest.
  • If the lift has a restraint bar, wait until everyone is seated, and slowly reach up and lower the bar. Do not attempt to lower the bar if you cannot reach it! Adults should always help kids to lower the bar.
  • Be aware of your surroundings while riding the lift. If you drop something, let it fall! You can always ask a ski patrol for help retrieving the lost item.
  • As you approach the top terminal, prepare to raise the bar. Look for signs advising you to do so to help with your timing.
