While we are still enjoying this amazing snow-filled season, we’re excited to announce a major investment that’s already in motion for next year, one designed to help deliver even stronger, more reliable snowmaking when it matters most.

Over the last 10 years, we have heavily invested in mountain experiences, from key lift replacements to on-mountain snowmaking automation and equipment upgrades. In 2026, we are taking another significant step forward with a project that is subtle to the eye but huge for performance. We are committing $4 million to capital improvements to modernize the heart of our snowmaking operation, as we continue to elevate Windham and build the premier ski resort of the Catskills.

This year, our “snowflake factory” pumps are being replaced with a new Torrent + HKD-controlled pumping and filtration system, bringing our snowmaking infrastructure into the modern era.

 

What this upgrade delivers:

Increased control and stability

 Improved pressure=increased production

Ability to seamlessly integrate additional pumps in the future

Increased snowmaking=quicker expansion of terrain

Supporting improvements happening alongside it:

Continued annual air and water pipeline replacements, including sections of Wall Street, Will Power, and Whiteway

World Cup will receive 12 new HKD snowmakers, completing the replacement of older equipment on that trail
